I use a digital camera the way some people use drugs. I am not afraid to shoot up as much as I can, taking dozens and dozens of shots while people vehemently warn me not to. They tell me they are going to kill me if I don't stop. I tell them, "Relax, Maaaan. Just get into the experience." It's funny because once they see the pictures, they are happy as can be, "Ohhhh, loook at THAAAT one." So I stopped listening to them a long time ago. I just keep shooting.
I presently have, 18,959 digital photographs and that number is growing. That's a lot of picture taking over a few years but not as many as some pros take on a single expedition to Katmandu or Borneo. I have read about two guys who flew across Africa in a little cessna and shot over 90,000 images on a 9 month expedition. That is about 333 shots a day. 41 shots an hour for an 8 hour day.
In my photo galleries you can view the images I like best. I am not a pro, but I think I have some interesting shots. I wish I had pro gear to shoot wildlife, people or landscapes but since I don't I just do the best with what I have: the story of my life. Check it out.
