As you can probably tell, I am a huge Thomas Kinkade fan. Paintings like this one are just me imitating The Man. The Last of Fall is not a straight ripoff of kinkade, but definitely influenced by. I always try to do my own thing with a painting, while going off some original point of inspiration. For me, it was kinkade's take on the falls and just trying to make that rock feel massive. And to me in this, it does. It's just like, BAM, this huge, towering entity, staring back at you.

After rendering that, I just kinda did my own thing. I love the way you can just push oils around the canvas. They just have such a great flow to them. I love oil.
